Conviction of Robert Veverka and the Legalizace magazine for spreading drug addiction is condemnable

Open letter to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic

On November 3, 2021, the Bruntál District Court sentenced Robert Veverka, the owner of the Legalizace magazine, to a suspended prison sentence and a fine in a criminal case. The charge related to Section 287 of the Criminal Code - spreading drug addiction. This case is a turning point in that the owner of a specific media outlet, a legally published magazine, was convicted in criminal proceedings for individual articles.
